Due to the extreme popularity of the Shop Programs at Campus High School (Woods, Metals, and Automotive), there was the need for additional interior and exterior space. To accomplish this, all three shop spaces were extended approximately 21 feet, which resulted in an addition of almost 4,000 sqf. Along with increasing the usable size of the shop spaces, all of the existing space was cleaned up, repainted, and new lighting, electrical, HVAC and compressed air systems were installed and/or modified. In the Metals Shop, ten new welding bays were constructed with an entire new work surface level exhaust system. In addition to enlarging the interior spaces, a new 9,500 sqf shop yard was constructed with an 8′-8″ tall masonry fence with two vehicle/pedestrian entry gates.
