Lisa Shaffer
AIA, NCIDQ
Principal
Lisa’s journey in design began with a deep passion for art and a keen analytical mind that was nurtured by her exposure to architecture through her father. Her academic foundation was laid at the University of North Texas where she pursued her degree in Interior Design. After spending a few years in sales, Lisa transitioned into an interior designer role at a commercial architecture firm specializing in retail and hospitality. Although interior design was a small component of the firm’s projects, Lisa’s role evolved over the years to encompass detailed construction documents, construction administration, professional practice, and project management.
Her experience and dedication led her to become a project manager at a firm in Wichita. While at this firm, she successfully qualified for both the Interior Design and Architecture Registration Exams and earned licenses in both fields. Lisa’s commitment to integrating interior design with architecture drove her to join Alloy Architecture. As a vested partner, she now focuses on creating beautifully crafted spaces that reflect her expertise and passion.
Her hobbies include art, camping, roller skating, meeting new people, and spontaneous road trips.
Personal motto: “Don’t be intimidated, be curious!”
