Buhler Athletic Complex
Wheatland Park
Buhler, KS
This vast and sprawling complex was a fascinating project that brought a wide variety of sports and recreational activities to the Buhler community as well as to the near by middle and high schools. A city street was moved to make room for the main hub of the project – the Wheatland Park which includes a pool, wellness center, and multiple baseball and softball fields. Eight tennis courts were added as well as a new football stadium and track at the high school. The track is the first post-tensioned concrete track to be built in Kansas. This extensive recreational hub is a beautiful green space and encourages outdoor play, competition, and community.
