A unique challenge arose when half of the district patrons wanted students to have access to indoor corridors between school buildings. The other half wanted to maintain the existing outdoor connections. The result was a campus that incorporated both indoor and outdoor connections between all eight buildings, meeting the needs and desires of all parties. 82,000 square feet of new construction and 17,000 square feet of additions were completed. These facilities range from a new media center, commons area, food service area, administration offices, art room, outdoor courtyard, and storm shelters. In addition, over 120,500 square feet of renovations took place on classrooms, the auditorium, pool and weight room.
