Key Construction
Tenant Finish
Wichita, KS
Located in Wichita, KS, the 23,475 sqft Key Construction headquarters renovation was completed in April 2025 and reimagines a building first occupied in 1992. After four expansions over several decades, the facility lacked continuity and contained large, underutilized spaces. The renovation addressed these challenges by reorganizing circulation and redefining key areas to create a cohesive, employee-focused workplace.
The main building entry, reception area, and primary conference room were relocated to establish a clear and welcoming arrival experience. A new open staircase, elevator, training room, and enlarged windows improve connectivity, accessibility, and daylight throughout the building. An upstairs break and lounge area was designed with employee satisfaction and retention as top priorities.
Historic materials were thoughtfully incorporated, including beams salvaged from the former Hotel at Old Town used in the custom reception desk and column capitals repurposed as the base of the conference room table. Wood and steel detailing at workstations highlights the craftsmanship of Key Construction’s in-house team. The headquarters also offers meeting and training space for community organizations, reinforcing Key Construction’s long-term commitment to Wichita’s future.
