Pittsburg State University

The Horace Mann was gutted and renovated to revolutionize the space and create a modern yet traditional Student Welcoming Center. Formerly a storage facility, the building was given new life as a one-stop shop for university students. The remodeled space offers a variety of student services in a single, consolidated location. The 2-story 24,000 square foot building now provides space for the Admissions and Retention office, Career Services, Financial Aid, University Housing, Registrar, Testing Center and Continuing Studies. This was a fascinating project as not only was it an extensive interior remodel, the exterior was completely refurbished, repointed, and kept true to it’s history.
