The Horace Mann Student Welcoming Center was gutted and renovated to revolutionize the space and create a modern yet traditional feel. Formerly a storage facility, the building was given new life as a one-stop shop for university students. The remodeled space offers a variety of student services in a consolidated location. The two-story 24,000 square foot building now provides space for the Admissions and Retention office, Career Services, Financial Aid, University Housing, Registrar, Testing Center, and Continuing Studies. This was a fascinating project as the interior was extensively remodeled and the exterior was refurbished and repointed while keeping true to it’s history.
