Simmons Bank
Tenant Finish
Wichita, KS
Located in historic Union Station in downtown Wichita, Kansas, the Simmons Bank project was completed in August 2025 and represents a strategic reinvestment in the city’s urban core. The 12,225 sqft tenant improvement relocated Simmons Bank’s market leadership along with its commercial and consumer banking teams and expanded the bank’s downtown presence to better serve a growing customer base.
The design introduces prominent storefront banking, including an ATM and night drop which enhances visibility and accessibility for customers. The project reactivated a historic building that had been vacant since 2020 and transformed the space into a modern, light-filled banking environment while respecting the character of Union Station. Tall existing windows were leveraged to bring natural daylight deep into the space while conference rooms and support areas were thoughtfully located along interior corridors where daylight was less critical.
Demountable partitions, carpet, and targeted acoustic treatments were incorporated to address sound control challenges posed by the building’s hard surfaces. Together, these solutions create a functional, welcoming workplace that supports Simmons Bank’s employees and reinforces its long-term commitment to downtown Wichita and the surrounding community.
