Wichita State University

The Rhatigan Student Center has served the Wichita State campus for over 50 years. As the building aged, it became increasingly apparent that the facility needed an upgrade in an effort to continue to accommodate a rapidly evolving university. We designed a renovated hub for university life while incorporating new spaces to bring the RSC into modern times. We renovated 110,000 square feet of existing space while designing 70,000 square feet of new construction. The updated facilities include new office space for student organizations, enlarged ballroom, new meeting and conference spaces, additional student lounge and gathering spaces, expanded dining services and a larger art gallery while giving the “front door” of campus a dramatic facelift.
